Why Invisalign® Has Such a High Satisfaction Rate

Why Invisalign® Has Such a High Satisfaction Rate

Your teeth create an important, interactive system that works best when upper and lower arches align well and teeth are straight and fit well together. Crooked teeth are more than just an issue with appearance; you may suffer from oral hygiene issues because of them.

Since their introduction in the late 1990s, Invisalign® clear dental aligners quickly grabbed a popular following of patients who wanted the benefits of orthodontic care without the drawbacks of traditional braces. Invisalign aligners are clear, removable, and, as the name suggests, virtually invisible.

At RR Dentistry in Georgetown, Texas, we proudly offer Invisalign to our patients with mild to moderate teeth alignment problems. Here’s why Invisalign has such a high satisfaction rate with its users.

The Invisalign difference

Conventional orthodontic treatment is effective and reliable, able to correct virtually any teeth alignment issue. However, the metal bands take some getting used to, and they require frequent in-office adjustments to continue progress toward an aligned smile.

You must make modifications to your diet and oral hygiene routines to accommodate traditional braces because the metal brackets are cemented in place. Should they break loose, there’s a possibility of trapped food debris accelerating decay beneath the bands.

On a cosmetic basis, some people resist orthodontic care because of the way braces look. Invisalign grew from a desire to sidestep the concerns with conventional braces.

Using a progressive series of clear trays that you can pop out for eating and cleaning, Invisalign provides similar results without the most common complaints users have with braces.

Invisalign satisfaction rates

Because the design of Invisalign directly addresses several of the most common consumer complaints about braces, you’d be right to assume that customer satisfaction is high. One question still remains: Is Invisalign effective?

Most teeth alignment concerns are mild or moderate, and Invisalign is ideally placed for this level of care. Not only is performance comparable with conventional braces, Invisalign often results in faster treatment times, start to finish, than traditional orthodontics when you follow the recommended treatment practices.

While Invisalign isn’t as effective at correcting severe malocclusion conditions as braces, these cases are comparatively rare, and our team doesn’t recommend Invisalign to patients with problems beyond its scope.

Success rates for treatment with clear aligner trays reach as high as 90% for patients with mild to moderate tooth movement needs, according to Consumer Affairs.
