About Dr. Mark Kupec

Dr. Kupec is our newest doctor, but he has been around the block a time or two with 30-plus years in dentistry. He is a big believer in comprehensive care, developing plans that are meant to last — identifying the actual causes and executing prevention strategies that benefit patients for a lifetime. Any dentist can fill a cavity, but few will take the time to tell you how you got it and how to prevent needing more treatment in the future. He will present you with all the options, give you his opinion, and let you decide.

His passions are the creation of life changing, beautiful smiles and the performance of airway-focused dentistry. In particular, there are strategies to guide the growth of jaws of children that have lifelong benefits to cognitive development through improved breathing and sleep. He can help adults with their breathing and sleeping, too.

His career began in Houston but eventually settled in Georgetown. Dr. Kupec founded the first dental study club in the Austin area and is an active member of the local branch of the Seattle Study Club. After 25 years of solo practice, the space he leased was sold in early 2024. Through the study club, he found RR Dentistry. He is convinced that RR is the best place to be a dental patient, not just because of the quality of the dentistry, but also because of how caring the team is to the people we serve.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and his dental degree from UT Health Science Center in Houston where he married his beautiful wife, Zandra. His two children, Kessa and Steel, are grown and learning the adulting thing now.

 Dr. Kupec coached baseball for 17 years, but currently is more of a fan.  His major outside passion is bow hunting with a minor in fishing. While there have been many changes for him recently, he is anticipating what God has in store for him next.
